In November 2018, I booked a round trip flight from Charlotte to Copenhagen (May 1-8) for $325 on Hopper. Before you book through the app, be sure to look on airline websites as well. Yes the flight was cheap, but keep in mind paying for bags and preferred seats. My flight was through United Airlines, however, it was economy basic. Lots of limitations, but I was able to manage.
Pro tip: Denmark does not take the Euro. We exchanged for Kroner when we landed at the airport. However, if you have a credit card with no FTA, this is a great option because everywhere takes card. Also, our wheely bags were pretty beat up after lugging them around the cobblestone π¦
We were starving when we landed and below is the view from our table. Eating on Nyhavn was alright; lots of similar things on all the menus at each restaurant. We discovered a small “food truck village” later on and wished we ate there instead. It was a short walk from where we were sitting.

Copenhagen is a beautiful city! Very walkable, but be sure to check the weather before you go! It was very cold + windy while we were there. As soon as we landed, we took a short metro ride to downtown. It is busy square and a few steps away from Nyhavn.
Our Airbnb was within walking distance to everything! I highly recommend this place ($165 total/2 people/2 nights). It was a shared apartment (bathroom shared too). Although the bathroom was tiny, the apartment was in a great location! The bedroom was spacious and clean.

We spent the afternoon roaming around to various sites, such as Tivoli Gardens, Rosenborg Castle and random parks + churches.
A must see in Copenhagen is Church of Our Savior. With only 400 steps to climb to the top, the view is well worth it! (35 DKK / about $5.90 USD)

We checked out local spots to try Tuborg an various brews to unwind from a busy day of walking. Taphouse was fun and laid back! Lots of different beers to sample and I highly recommend π

We were craving Italian one night and had a fun date night at a nearby restaurant. I can’t remember the name, but the pizza + wine was so on point.
